That fixed it...
root@pria:~ $ more /etc/exports
# lustre exports
/mnt/sfsmall <HOST_IP>/24(fsid=1,rw,root_squash)
[jordan@sanjay test]$ df -h | grep lustre
pria:/mnt/sfsmall 845G 4.1G 798G 1% /mnt/lustre
[jordan@sanjay test]$ touch file2
[jordan@sanjay test]$ ls -l
total 0
-rw-rw-r-- 1 jordan jordan 0 Oct 23 14:42 file
-rw-rw-r-- 1 jordan jordan 0 Oct 23 14:43 file2
