We want to have 2 filesystems on our lustre setup (1 MDS, 1 OSS, version
1.4.6):

1. Must this setup use only 1 xml-file? If so, in the case of adding
another filesystem to an MDS/OSS that already has 1 filesystem
configured, is it possible to create (lconf --reformat) the new
filesystem without destroying the existing filesystem?

2. One option that we haven't tested is to create a new xml-file for the
second filesystem, do a lconf --reformat on that one, and later create
a single xml-file for both filesystems and restart the lustre-service
using this single xml-file without --reformat. Do you think this will
   work?

3. If we must keep separate xml-files for each filesystem, then we
must modify /etc/init.d/lustre for this - has anybody done such a
modification (e.g. such that doing /etc/init.d/lustre stop does not
issue a --cleanup until all other filesystems have been stopped, etc.)?

thanks for any help,
Per Lundqvist
