Subject:    [Lustre-discuss] some problems  about install "rpm" package

My OS is Redhat 9.0,and I have downloaded the lustre install packages : \
kernel-smp-2.4.20-24.9_lustre.1.0.1.i686.rpm and \
lustre-lite-utils-2.4.20-24.9_lustre.1.0.1.i386.rpm .   After installing the two \
packages , the Lustre filesystem is good . But in the kernel for lustre I can not run \
rpm command normally . System error console stat some  error information which just \
like to say can not open rpm database.However, the origin kernel 2.4.20-8 works well \
with rpm .
