Hi,

I'm running an LTSP server (RH7.0), and one LTSP diskless client hanging
off it.

I recently bought a copy of Win4Lin (www.netraverse.com - allows the use
of win9x under linux) which runs perfectly on both the server and the
client in windowed mode (i.e. a window in an existing X session).

There is also a full-screen mode, where Win4Lin starts a new X-Session
and runs Win4Lin full-screen. You can then flick between the Linux
system and the Windows system by using Ctrl+Alt+F7 or Ctrl+Alt+F8.

This works fine on the server, but on the LTSP workstation it does not.
I get:

Authentication Failed - Cannot start X server
Perhaps you do not have console ownership?Giving up.

On the server machine, I can use Control+Alt+Fkey to start a new login
session - on the LTSP machine, I cannot - would this be the source of
the problem? If so, what can I do to the LTSP workstation to allow this
functionality?

It would be a major advantage if I could run Windows full-screen on the
LTSP machine, as it is primarily for my girlfriend who hates Linux. :-(

Any help you could offer would be great.

Many thanks,

Louis
