No, you did not misunderstand.
But for some reasons we have also discussed using a cron job to refresh
guest accounts nightly. If there is something wrong with the cron job and
it runs hourly for example, this is a problem.
Also if there is some problem with my scripts and instead of cleaning only
one account they clean up by mistake all the guest accounts, this is also
clearly a problem.
Another thing to be mentioned is that guest accounts are inherently not
100% safe, since their password is the same as the username. I wonder what
happens if a second user tries to login with the same guest username and
password as an already logged in guest user. If he succeeds, maybe he can
affect the applications being used by the first user.
