Hi all:

I've got a fairly successful ltsp deployment here based on ubuntu
9.04.  The last complaint I currently have from my users is the
excessive launch time of some applications.  The most notable is
inkscape, which takes at least 2 minutes to show up.  Other apps take
a bit longer than I'd expect to launch completely (such as the
standard gnome calculator: takes about 30 seconds to show up; on the
console it takes a couple seconds).  Other apps show up rather
quickly.  So far, I don't have any pattern as to which ones take long
times to launch.

Anyone have any suggestions?  In case it matters, I'm running my thin
clients in directx mode.
