Hi Warren, in Debian locale-gen belongs to the package locales (in Ubuntu as well). That's a space saver compared to a package installing all available locales. (You only generate actually needed locales.) Upon generation /etc/default/locale has apropriate settings for LANG=20 (default locale) and LANGUAGE (available languages). Seems to be, that Fedora gets this set in /etc/sysconfig/i18n. So in your case the first step is already done in the chroot; you don't have to execute locale-gen. Second step: let ldm get the settings for LANG and LANGUAGE, maybe like this in ldm's start script if [ -r /etc/sysconfig/i18n ]; then . /etc/sysconfig/i18n export LANG LANGUAGE fi wolfgang --a8Wt8u1KmwUX3Y2C Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFIA31znlCf5+ELaesRAkmxAKCU65PW2uH098uBX8aJTlGSEnAcSQCggCMW hDGfvSgLWeY6EPVY6orVzW4= =I8V7 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --a8Wt8u1KmwUX3Y2C-- --===============0723302238== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
