server/ltsp-update-kernels is run from the server-side. it handles
copying the files from the chroot into a place accessible by the tftp
server.
client/update-kernels is run from within the chroot, and generates the
pxe configuration and etherboot images and the likes.
origianlly, it was all done server-side, but this proved difficult to
support multiple chroots. generating the images allows for the whole
chroot environment to contain everything you need for an LTSP chroot.
keeping the ltsp-update-kernels components very simple allows you to
copy the chroot to just about any server and end up with a working LTSP
environment...
live well,
