I see using USB keys with LTSP 4.1, following the localdev
documentation, works very nicely. I am using scripts to mount the drive
via samba when a user logs in (no automounter). The only drawback is
that if the usb key is not connected when the station boots, it will
never be seen. I am presuming the only chance to load the usb modules
and create the /dev node is happening at boot. Does anyone know of a
way where the usb key can be attached to and removed from a running
station and have everything show up correctly--much like using any other
kind of removeable media? Anyone working on this?

Base system is a Mandrake 10.1, LTSP 4.1, 2.6 kernel.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Marc DeTrano
