I know that Irix 6.2 and older had a problem in their lpd/lpr
implementation, if you tried to delete a job from a remote print queue and
you _did_not_ use the 'lp=' capability in the printcap.  If you set this
capability to 'lp=/dev/null' you were able to delete jobs from the remote
queue.  I have not checked the more recent 6.5 Irix because I got use to
setting 'lp=/dev/null' in all printcaps.  SGI knows of the problem, I
reported to them over a year ago and they didn't seem interested in fixing
the problem.
