James,
Thank you for reporting this.
Given that this is a Domain Coordinator utility it seems that it is most likely to be \
run in a user session on the library server, hence no one has reported this \
discrepancy before.
The quota usage data for the "Display quotas and usage for Course/Community Content" \
will be for disk usage on the course's home server (i.e., your library server), where \
all data are permanently stored.
When the quotacheck.pl script is run on a library server, the disk usage values (in \
MB) are retrieved directly from the filesystem on that server. However, when the \
script is run on a server that is not the course's home server (e.g., on an access \
server), a request for the data needs to be sent to the library server. In that \
instance the routine called (remotely) to compute disk usage was returning a total in \
KB, instead of MB.
Anyway, the usage numbers (and percentages) in the screenshot from the library server \
are the correct ones. The usage numbers on the access server need to be divided by \
1024.
I have just filed a bug (6961) and committed an updated quotacheck.pl script (rev. \
1.9) to fix the bug. The new version includes a division by 1024 (to convert from KB \
to MB).
See bugs.loncapa.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6961
If you would like to update the version of quotacheck.pl on an access server (running \
LON-CAPA 2.11.2 or 2.11.3) to 1.9, see the bug report for instructions.

Subject: [LON-CAPA-admin] checking course quotas
Hi,
When I do the following on our access server and our library server:
Status of domain servers --- Display quotas and usage for Course/Community Content \
--- Select user “datta” --- Search
I get vastly different results from each server. See the attached images (these show \
courses from just this semester, there are so many more)
It does the same with other users also. Why is this the case?
SIDE NOTE: Without going into too much detail, this user started uploading \
uncompressed video (it got worse when we went online last year). I’m sure more \
questions will come concerning this issue…
