P_W999 created LOG4J2-692:
-----------------------------
Summary: Maven 2 compilation issue due to maven-shade-plugin
Key: LOG4J2-692
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LOG4J2-692
Project: Log4j 2
Issue Type: Question
Affects Versions: 2.0-rc2
Environment: Apache Maven 2.2.1 (rdebian-8)
Java version: 1.7.0_09
Java home: /usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.7.0.09/jre
Default locale: en_US, platform encoding: UTF-8
OS name: "linux" version: "3.5.0-17-generic" arch: "i386" Family: "unix"
Reporter: P_W999
Priority: Trivial
As per the documentation, log4j2 should compile with Maven 2 and Maven 3
bq. Log4j 2.x uses Maven 2 or 3 as its build tool. To build and install Log4j in your \
local Maven cache, from the root directory run:
However, the Maven performance test uses a Maven 3 only plugin:

Other than that, it compliles without any issues, though I'm not sure if it would be \
