Your best bet is to request the latest software from Nortel sighting
BugTraq ID 3964.

If you do a quick google for the BugTraq ID you will see what I mean :-)

I guess I should have read through the list more before purchasing an
AD2. 
I've been round and round with Nortel and local resellers that don't
want 
to return my calls.  I guess it's just impossible to get the 8.0.x
stream 
for the AD2 without paying thru the nose for a support contract.

Does anybody have any tips on how to procure webos 8.0 for a used alteon

ad2?

Even SGI was smart enough to give away old versions of their software.
