Hi Vitor,

The ALO work like a DNS autoritative(it is who response by the FQDN).  The
diference between a traditional DNS and the ALO is that the Alteon put a
analysis who is the best link and its VIP associate.

The Alteon treat the routers(the gateways of the links) like a real servers
group and test the metric to elect who is the best link.  Each real
server(router link) have a VIP associated(from the subnet associated to the
link) to the each link.  The election winner will have the FQDN translated
to the winner VIP.
