What commands do I use if running a wsm? As most are missing does not seem to log to the Passport syslog which is what I thought it would do.

Rgds,

Subject: RES: [load balancing] Alteon AD3 syslog

	Hi Wei Keong,

	They change from facility to severity and the default is seven, that
it means debug level. I think that debug level have too many details for
the day-by-day and itīll will send o lot of messages to your log if you
decide to do a debug. Like many things, the good severity level depends of
each one person. If you donīt know the "environment behaviour" you can
start with level 6(information). if you know well the behaviour may level
5(Warning) will be ok four you.

	This is the syntaxe of syslog commands in the WebOS 10:

	/cfg/sys/syslog/host <ip address>

	/cfg/sys/syslog/sever <0-7> => the default is 7(debug), the highest
level of detail

	/cfg/sys/syslog/console <enable|disable>  => send syslog message do
console or not. Sometimes is not interenting enable the messages on console
because will have a great number of messages and this will be disturb you in
your operation at console.

	 /cfg/sys/syslog/log => Displays a list of features for which syslog
messages can be generated. You can choose to enable/disable specific
features (such as vlans, gslb, filter), or enable/disable syslog on all
available features.

	Rgds,

	Claudio Rosa

Assunto: [load balancing] Alteon AD3 syslog

Hi,

I have upgraded the WebOS of AD3 from 8.3 to 10.0 recently. I notice that
the syslog (/cf/sys/syslog) facility has been changed to severity.

What is the default facility setting for AD3? Can we change the facility?

Thanks,
Wei Keong
