Wei Keong,

Do you have a packet capture of this behaviour ?

Phil

Hi Phil,

I'm using the AD2 to load balance the DNS servers, using VIP. To
measure the performance, I've script (dig) to poll the AD2 vip and the
real servers, every 5 min.

What puzzled me is the fact that the performance via AD2 is worse than
direct to the real servers. Upon investigation, there seems to be some
delay in the response when a first dig command is issued to AD2.
Subsequent dig commands show much better results.

Is this a common problem, that the first connection to AD2 will take
longer? Any way to overcome this?

Thanks,
Wei Keong
