To answer my own question (just in case anyone else is interested in
SonicWall) - BIGIP supports the "transparent mode" automagically.
Apparently I was flubbing something else unrelated up.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience using a SSL accelerator
with the BIGIP.

Our application has extremely long-lived connections that result in the
high amounts of bulk crypto.  Because of this the built in SSL accel of
the 5000 is not enough (handles inital handshake not the bulk).  I am
experimenting with both F5's Ecommerce boxes (essentially a PC running
specialized BIGIP software) and with SonicWall's SSL-RX.  The SSL-RX is
able to handle +70mbit/s of SSL bandwidth however I have a problem where
the SSL-RX is masking the clients IP address (as if I have a NAT on the
BIGIP) as its own.  SonicWall says it can operate in "transparent mode"
if the BIGIP will support it.  I have not been able to find much info on
what "transparent mode" does or what I need to alter for the BIGIP to
support it - I am in the early stages of ssl/tcpdump trying to figure
out what is really going on.

Does anyone have any experience using SonicWall's SSL accel with BIGIPs?
