I am implementing SLB for POP3 mail servers and need assistance with a
configuration.

I have 2 real servers with port POP3 configured and bound to 1 VIP with POP3
configured for round-robin.

Everything works correctly when the 2 mail servers are connected directly to
the Foundry server, however if I connect the mail servers to a Cisco
Catalyst switch, I have no functionality. If I specify another IP address
to use for NAT this will work, however we are trying to keep the
configuration as simple as possible.

What configuration changes need to be made for this to work? We are going
to be implementing Hot-Standby and using the sample configuration from the
manual, I should not need to use NAT.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Jay Leinart
