Is it possible some how probably using procmail I'm guessing  to set up a
list address such as 

test-subscribe@mydomain.com

that people can just send a blank message to, and it will send the 

subscribe <listname>

command to listar

because yes unthinkable but you have no idea how many people manage to
stuff up a simple subscribe email. 

also another possible feature I liked of listsoft's listserv was the reply
to confirmation messages with just the word

ok


although I guess listar's current method works pretty well as it's aot all
that difficult for the end user to just hit reply and quote the entire
message.
