Please ensure that you have set the nvram variable
sata_ahci_mode=Enable, then reboot. The default compatibility (PATA)
mode will not allow the black SATA ports to be used; in compatibility
mode, the chipset emulates an old-style PATA controller with a maximum
of four drives.
