I only have one port on my laptop which could be firewire. It is a 4
pin connector. My cable is a new 14 ft. Belkin 4 pin to 4 pin cable. I
had an idea after reading your answer. I was wondering how to rule out
the cable, because I don't want to have to buy another one (they are
expensieve). I'll boot into Windows :( and see if it picks up the DV
camera. I'll report back to the list if I find anything useful.
