First, if you are capturing to IDE HDD, make sure DMA is enabled using
hdparm. If that is not it, make sure you are using kernel 2.4.21 or
later and try using the dv1394 module. With dvgrab 1.2 or later, use the
--dv1394 option to use dv1394. dv1394 requires much fewer interrupts per
frame than using the default raw1394, which is a problem on many
systems.
