<SPAN id=ctl00_Content_body_Label><EM>DoD TechMatch</EM> is a Department of Defense \
(DoD) sponsored web portal that&nbsp;helps industry and academia find R&amp;D \
opportunities from FedBizOpps, Grants.gov, and SBIR/STTR solicitations.&nbsp; In \
addition, <EM>DoD TechMatch</EM> offers a central location to find DoD Licensable \
Patents, Labs and Facilities, Hot Technologies, Technology Needs, Calendar Events, \
and Success Stories.&nbsp; All areas can be accessed to serve your business. <P>SBIR \
(Small Business Innovation Research) is a highly competitive program that encourages \
small businesses to explore their technological potential and provides the incentive \
to profit from its commercialization.&nbsp; The SBIR program provides up to $850,000 \
in early-stage R&amp;D funding directly to small technology companies (or individual \
entrepreneurs who form a company) for projects that serve a DoD need and have the \
potential for commercialization in the private sector and/or military market.&nbsp; \
The FY 2005 SBIR funding was $1.079 billion.&nbsp; SBIR solicitations are released \
three times per year.&nbsp; The next release date is scheduled for May 1.&nbsp; </P> \
<P><EM>DoD TechMatch</EM> uses a keyword matching function to send you information \
relevant to your business.&nbsp;&nbsp; The keywords are selected when you register \
with <EM>DoD TechMatch</EM>.&nbsp; As information comes into the system it is \
assigned keywords and is then cross-referenced with the registered user \
keywords.&nbsp; <EM>DoD TechMatch</EM> sends a daily e-mail to each registered user \
that has a matching keyword.</P> <P>Register today to ensure you receive your \
