Hello. I recently got my hands on a few Linksys WPC11 cards & an access
point. I was quite happy to discover that inserting the card into my laptop
brought up the wireless interface. :)

However, the auto-rate selection is giving me problems. It picks 2mbps,
though I'm quite close the the AP. From what I have read, the driver will
pick 2mbps when there is poor S/N on that channel.

However, when I try to switch channels, ('iwconfig eth1 channel 2"), i get
this error: "Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) : SET failed
on device eth1 ; Operation not supported."

The Linksys card has the Prism2 chipset, not the newer Prism2_5. I'm not
using anything special; just stock Debian woody, with pcmcia-cs 3.1.31.

Perhaps I need to switch to the wlan-ng drivers?
