Do you mean PCMCIA card?  Or do you mean a Samsung SWL 2100N PCMCIA
on a PCI card?

Seen that a lot myself, usually due to a PCMCIA
controller/configuration error -- possibly kernel-based.

What distro and version?  What kernel version?  What pcmcia-cs
version?  If kernel = 2.4, are you using kernel pcmcia?  If you are
using the stock kernel/pcmcia-cs included in the distro, tell me
that instead.
