mwvlen is a very old and unmaintained driver.  This mailing list is for a
different driver that you can find here:

The descendent of the mwvlan driver is called Orinoco and can be found here:
http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/orinoco/

Then you need Orinoco driver.  linux-wlan-ng won't work for you.
