Hi,

I'm using the latest version with a D-Link DWL 122 USB Stick.

There seems to be an instability in conjunction with reading wireless
statistics in p80211wext_get_wireless_stats. The probleme occur most
likely when the adapter is removed and being reconnected immediately
afterwards. The result is that system locks up hard with the keyboard
LED blinking.

The following shell skript triggers the error with almost 100%
probability:

#!/bin/sh

while /bin/true; do
    cat /proc/net/wireless > /dev/null
done

Typical error messages in the system logs look like this:

Jan 10 20:27:44 localhost kernel: hfa384x_dorrid: ctlx failure=REQ_TIMEOUT
Jan 10 20:27:44 localhost kernel: prism2sta_mlmerequest: Failed to read
wlan0 statistics: error=-5
Jan 10 20:27:45 localhost kernel: hfa384x_dorrid: ctlx failure=REQ_TIMEOUT
Jan 10 20:27:45 localhost kernel: prism2sta_mlmerequest: Failed to read
wlan0 statistics: error=-5
Jan 10 20:27:48 localhost kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: wlan0: transmit timed out

Or:

Jan 10 20:33:44 localhost kernel: hfa384x_dorrid: ctlx failure=REQ_TIMEOUT
Jan 10 20:33:44 localhost kernel: prism2sta_mlmerequest: Failed to read
wlan0 statistics: error=-5
Jan 10 20:33:44 localhost kernel: NETDEV WATCHDOG: wlan0: transmit timed out

Afterwards the systems locks up.

Any ideas?

- Jan.
