You need bridging more.

VLANs is a way to get the 5 logical networks from the central router to
somewhere else over one link, though. But in order to make one broadcast
domain out of all of it, you'll need to bridge the networks. Depending on
your router software (ie. not Linux) you'll probably need to put a new box
between the router and the LAN at your five sites.

Check out ebtables for filtering in the Linux bridge.
