  Something is causing bttv to reset, and when it does, it is
reinitializing your picture settings to something random.  Hitting
spacebar in tvtime will reset your picture settings to something sane.

  Still, the problem is that bttv is resetting itself :)   Bad signal?
Buggy driver? :)
