Hi,

I've been trying to update my kernel from 2.4.18-14 to any other later
kernel - including the latest 2.6.0-test6 kernel which is the one I will
concentrate on here. The problem is that the USB Flash Drive doesn't get
recognised at boot time (no entry in /etc/sysconfig/hwconf) and all
other subsequent attempts to access the device result in _extremely_
slow response.

The hardware involved in a Dell Optiplex workstation and a Transend
Flash Drive. The same Flash Drive works OK at home where I'm running
2.6.0-test6 OK but the hardware is different.

I've also had these problem with other 2.4 kernels later that 2.4.18-14.

Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Kevin
