Hi.
I am using 2.4.17, rml's preemtive and lock-break patches, latest
usb/storage/* from CVS and Matthew Dharm's "no hang on shutdown"
patch.
The USB device is a QDI USBDisk (vendor 1065, product 2136).
Mounting and reading from the device works fine.
Unmounting the device works, too, if nothing has been written
to it. When doing this
nausicaa>mount /mnt/usb
nausicaa>cp foo /mnt/usb
nausicaa>umount /mnt/usb
the system locks. No messages in syslog, nothing when using
SysRq log level 8. However, issuing a "sync" before umount solves
the problem:
nausicaa>mount /mnt/usb
nausicaa>cp foo /mnt/usb
nausicaa>sync
nausicaa>umount /mnt/usb
works fine.
Any ideas on how to get usable debug information for this?
Thanks for your time.
