I did moved the network card so now the two usb-uhci are alone on irq
9 (well, bios says that there's also display adapter there and something
else but /proc/interrupts shows only usb so far and it seems to work,
even though I didn't test it much).

in the meantime I have found out that maybe it worked all the time,
just not the way I though.

I have two USB ports in the back of the machine and two USB port in
the front panel (I connected the front ones to MB using supplied cables
according to manual).

The front panel USB ports never send irq, here's what syslog says when
I plug-in/unplug device:

Dec 29 01:45:07 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1 connection change
Dec 29 01:45:07 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 300, change
3, 1.5 Mb/s
Dec 29 01:45:07 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1 enable change, status
300

Dec 29 01:45:28 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1 connection change
Dec 29 01:45:28 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 300, change
3, 1.5 Mb/s
Dec 29 01:45:28 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1 enable change, status
300

the back-of-the-machine USB ports send interrupts (and pjbox-100
driver works), here's what I get in syslog when I plug in the pjbox-100:

Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1 connection change
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 101, change
1, 12 Mb/s
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: hub.c: port 1, portstatus 103, change
0, 12 Mb/s
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: hub.c: USB new device connect on
bus1/1, assigned device number 6
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: usb.c: kmalloc IF c3ea5540, numif 1
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: usb.c: new device strings: Mfr=0,
Product=0, SerialNumber=0
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: pjb_probe: looking for devices
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: USB PJB is connected
Dec 29 01:37:46 localhost kernel: usb.c: cpqpjb driver claimed interface
c3ea5540

(it says port 1 or port 2 depending on which port I use, each front
and back panel have two ports (=two physical sockets))

MB (ABIT VH6-II, www.abit.com.tw) docs do not provide any details
about the front panel USB connector, it only says it's "for connecting
the additional USB port plugs".
