Hi list,

I've some problems in getting my scanner to work with the USB
subsystem...
The SANE backend code (written by myself) has been tested
on various platforms and should not be the problem. I'm using
Kernel 2.4.17 (but older Kernels seems to have a similar problem).
Here's what dmesg tells me:

scanner.c: probe_scanner: User specified USB scanner -- Vendor:Product -
7b3:17
scanner.c: probe_scanner: User specified USB read timeout - 20
usb.c: usbscanner driver claimed interface ced9edc0
scanner.c: 0.4.7:USB Scanner Driver
uhci.c: uhci_result_interrupt/bulk() failed with status 500000
[ceb010c0] link (0eb01092) element (0eb02210)
  0: [ceb02210] link (00000001) e3 IOC Stalled Babble Length=f MaxLen=f DT0
EndPt=2 Dev=2, PID=69(IN) (buf=0c618000)

scanner.c: read_scanner(0): funky result:-75. Consult
Documentation/usb/scanner.txt.

After this message, the scanner won't respond anymore...
The hardware is an EPOX mobo with an VIA KT133A chipset
and an ATHON cpu...
Is there anything else you need for further investigation? I'd like
to help you to fix the problem or if you can give me some hints
to fix it by myself...

Thanks in advance
  Gerhard
