I have a HP 6200c USB scanner on loan. It worked 50% of the time with
kernel 2.4.9, but with 2.4.10 , 2.4.13 and 2.4.14 it refuses to work.
I'm using a VIA motherboard.
Same scanner works perfectly via SCSI. Fails via USB.
Via SCSI, there is a long pause before the first scan, but it eventually
happens.
Via USB, there is a long pause, but the USB sub-system gives up and seems
to get it self in a mess. Even after waiting a very long time and trying
again, i still
dont get anywhere.
From 2.4.9 :
