Hi,

I am having problems using the special keys on my X200 with (vanilla)
kernels 2.6.29 and 2.6.30 (latest from git).

I can only control the backlight using xbacklight. The keys do nothing.
Maybe that is related to thinkpad_acpi (loaded only with fan_control=1)
being undecided about my hardware:

[ 3.684305] thinkpad_acpi: This ThinkPad has standard ACPI backlight brightness \
control, supported by the ACPI video driver [ 3.684308] thinkpad_acpi: Disabling \
thinkpad-acpi brightness events by default... [ 3.696412] thinkpad_acpi: Standard \
ACPI backlight interface not available, thinkpad_acpi native brightness control \
enabled [ 3.696418] thinkpad_acpi: detected a 16-level brightness capable ThinkPad

The other problem is that suspend-to-RAM used to work on Debian sid
without me having to configure anything. Since 2.6.30 (latest from git),
the sleep button doesn't do anything anymore. Simply echoing 'mem' to
/sys/power/sleep still works while uswsusp has some problems waking up.
I don't know what exactly happened when I pressen the sleep key before.

J.
