Hi all,

i have t60 with debian unstable. i would like to ask 2 questions:

1. i have problems with kernels 2.6.23 and above -- there are freezes of
the laptop, which require hard restart. no problems with 2.6.22

as i browsed the web, i found out that this may have something in common
with big i/o load and sata driver (which is true for me), try google for
"sata 2.6.24 freeze".

if there is anyone experiencing the same problems, has anyone find a
solution?

2. recently i have experienced a "white screen problem" -- ie. 2/3 of the
screen from the bottom goes white. touching the bottom of the display
frame seems to temporarily solve the problem, but im a bit nervous.

Again, if there is anyone experiencing the same problem, maybe he knows the
cause of the problem?

Im wondering if only claiming the t60 will solve the problem or if there is
available some other faster way to fix it (even by self-repair) -- it seems
that some cable or contact is wrong or so.

Kind regards,
martin.
