   Sorry, I thought I mentioned that 6.0's tftp image no longer
   prompts me for boot parameters.

Using:

ok boot net serial

or

ok boot net xxx serial

is what you want, tftp boot images never ever prompted explicitly for
boot parameters as far as I can ever remember.
