   How much work will be neccessary to port the i386-based version of
   the SVGA server to the SparcLinux world?

Hopefully minimal work, but you would not be able to use it as a
console.  A PCI video card must have OBP firmware on it to be used as
a console.

So what you'd be able to do, once the port of xf86/MGA is done, is
boot up with mach64 as your system console, and run the X server on
your MGA card.
