DT and CT models are for Hong Kong( may be for Asia as well ) while TE and
TS are for North America. And they are pretty  similar to each other ( DT:TE
and CT:TS) in terms of configuration,  but we don't have K version(Win2000
pre-installed ).

Cheap ? I don't think so in any way. if you get a DT(bundled with DVD
docking) in Hong Kong, it costs about US$2570, and US$2950 for the
CT(bundled with DVD/CD-RW docking ). But the listed price in sony web page
for the same configuration  are US$2099 and US$2799. :(

Knowing that drivers may not be avaiable for the Linux, I leave my WinME in
one of the partitions. Actually I have WinME, Win2000 professional, Mandrake
8.0 and BeOS 5.0 running.... but for the BeOS, only the network driver is
avaiable and wokring.

Can someone send me the modem driver and memory stick driver for win2000 ?

Also, can anyone turn one your 505 by pressing the jog ?? I can but it seems
a bit weird for me...
