:: ARRG!  the "unexpected io-apic" message is COMPLETELY SPURIOUS.
:: the code in question is broken, in that it pretends that it's sane
:: to have a catalog of apic IDs, and warn when you're not in it.
:: the code also has checks for expected *behavior* - that's the only
:: checking it should be doing!
:: 
:: the unexpected io-apic warning is spurious.  ignore it.

Oh, sorry, I thought the guy couldn't boot up his system...
