I recently compiled and installed the 2.4.0 kernel with smp support.  When
booting I receive the message:

So, I am emailing you.  I have included the complete listing from dmesg futher
down. Unfortunaly this is the first kernal I've compiles with SMP so I can not
tell you if I had this problem in previous kernals.  Here is the system
configuration (the mother board sees both CPUs at startup):

In the CMOS, the Multi-Processor Specification is set to 1.4. (It is possible to

change it to 1.1 but that did not seem to make a difference.)  I compiled the
kernel with SMP and MTRR.  The MTRR check also gives a warning (see below),
should
I recompile without it?  Also, does the IO-APIC message mean only one of the
CPUs
is being used?
