Subject:    MPS 1.1 or 1.4? What is best?

I seem to constantly hear conflicting reports.

With MPS 1.4, my USB mouse stops working.
With MPS 1.1, my USB mouse works but I don't get the nifty higher IRQ levels.

This is with the infamous Abit BP6.

Which is preferred? Does someone know where these specifications are detailed?
