I don't get this groovy display. Is this a 2.1.x thing?
(duke is slakware 3.4 w/2.0.36 egcs)
I get the single list like Alex Grossmann does:
================================================================================
duke:/usr/src/linux# cat /proc/interrupts
0: 109722795 timer
1: 2 keyboard
2: 0 cascade
8: 1 + rtc
9: 1157160 aic7xxx
11: 2875125 eth0
13: 5068135 + IPI
14: 59 + ide0
15: 667862 + ide1
================================================================================
However, I don't have /proc/smp like Alex does, so i'm confused.
I do have a "good" /proc/cpuinfo though, and rc5des starts 2 procs, so it seems
to be running both ok.
Someone else showed a `top` with multiple cpus (although a quick glance back and
i can't find that mail). Did i miss a procps update? ;)

What brought me lurking to this list a couple of months ago is that this is
my first Linux SMP box, and compared to my other 2 boxen, this one is very unstable.
(sarah hasn't burped in 1120 days, and has been up on 2.0.13 for 333 days, bless
her heart.)
Since 2.0.36, duke doesn't crash anymore, but i get a lot of
unkillable-running @0%-zombies. Often from a killed `tail -f`.
I feel like i have to reboot every 30 days or so to bring the "load" back down below 7.
The last 2.1 kernel i tried was 2.1.116, and that brought many trips to
The Big Red Button (reset). I wuz just surfing at www.us.kernel.org to try
the latest 2.1 kernel, and i noticed 2.2.0-pre1 . Did you mean for kernel-announce
to not mention this?
