Hello

    I have a problem with IO-APIC. I use RedHat 9.0 but I have newer
kernels. I use 2.4.22 and some days ago I got 2.6.1

The computer. The motherboard is Jetway V400ADB. Northbrige KT400a
southbrige 8235 with a CMI9738 sound chip. CPU AthlonXP 2200+

The problem with kernel 2.4.22. I compiled the kernel without SMP but
with IO-APIC in the hope of remapping the shared IRQs to new values. The
kernel boot ok but it remaps some of the IRQs to negative values. I have a
Jetway graphic card(GF 5200/128MB/DDRAM) in the AGP slot. The irq is remaped
to 20 or 19. The IRQs for the sound card(integrated int the motherboard) and
the usb controler have negative values like -19. If a set the kernel
parameter acpi=ht the the IRQ are maped ok. Usb controller has IRQ 21 and
sound has 22. But in this case the there are problems with the kernel module
from nvidia. With acpi=off or ht xwindows does not load.

How can I use the pirq parameter to assign the right IRQ to something
that is not on a PCI slot.

The problem with kernel 2.6.1 is about the same except the negative IRQs
have now large values like 219.

If you need some logs or something please tell me.

Tank you.
