Hello,

I'am running SuSE Linux 9.0 on my computer. I recognized a problem when the
power management for the display is activated in X-Windows. When the computer
is running without supervision it dies after several hours. First I thought
the problem was initiated by the ATI Radeon driver (Version 3.2.8), but using
the integrated driver in X-Windows the problem occurs also. I found the
message about the "IO-APIC" and this is the reason for this mail. Maybe
someone can use this information (or is interested).

Hardware

Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 pro (Intel 865PE)
Pentium 4 FSB800 3Ghz
Hercules Radeon 9700 pro
AVM ISDN Adapter
Creative Audigy

If additional information is needed please let me know.

Regards
Reimund Magon
