I've been running kernel v2.4.4 on a Tyan Titan Pro w/ (2) Pentium Pro 200
CPUs.  This weekend I decided it was high time I upgraded to kernel
v2.4.13.  I recompiled using (as close as possible) the same .config as I
used for v2.4.4.

When I booted v2.4.13, my 3COM 3C900B-TPO Cyclone ethernet card stopped
responding properly.  The only difference I could find was that 2.4.4
re-assigned the card's IRQ to 16 (through IO-APIC) while the newer kernel
did not.

I've since tried every kernel version between 6 and 13, all do the same
thing.  If I boot the machine using 'noapic' everything works fine, so I'm
not to concerned..... but I am interested as to why this happened.  I've
looked around the archives and don't seem to find anyone else with this
particular problem.  I'd really appreciate it if someone could point me in
the right direction to figuring this out.
