if your aim is to run more than one X at the same time
do the following :
open new tty --> Ctrl+Alt+F#  ;where # is between 1-6
actually the current tty will be 1 so choose betwenn
2-6
then log on and lunch this command :
$startx -- :# ;where # between 1-6 "I'm not pretty
sure ;) "
e.g.
$startx -- :1
by the way..you can do the above in both if you were
already in X or Console mode.
