I would edit /etc/inittab and change the defualt init
to 4,by defualt the init 3 is the default runlevel for
slackware..

anyway..
when you edit /etc/inittab ..
you will see this line :
{
# Default runlevel. (Do not set to 0 or 6)
id:3:initdefault:
}
just change 3 to  4.
