I have a device to which if I send an INQUIRY, it comes back with a valid
data. After the INQUIRY, if I send TEST_UNIT_READY it comes back with
CHECK_CONDITION/ILLEGAL_REQUEST/LOGICAL UNIT NOT SUPPORTED. The inquiry data

says that it is a direct-access device. I believe that TEST_UNIT_READY
is being sent by sd driver. Now when the device returns ILLEGAL_REQUEST,
the sd driver does not seem to looking at it or does not seem to be
handling the case where TUR comes with ILLEGAL_REQUEST/LOGICAL UNIT NOT
SUPPORTED.

Can somebody explain me how this device will be untimately handled by scsi
and/or sd ?
