Hi!

I have a question to the raid-gurus on the list.

> cat /proc/mdstat
Personalities : [raid1]
read_ahead 1024 sectors
md0 : active raid1 hdc1[0] hda1[1]
      51264 blocks [2/2] [UU]

md1 : active raid1 hdc2[0] hda2[1]
      9970560 blocks [2/2] [UU]

md2 : active raid1 hdg1[1] hde1[0]
      29316544 blocks [2/2] [UU]

unused devices: <none>

What does the number in the brackets mean? That the partition with
the lower number is the "master" from where the mirroring occurs?
With md2 the numbering seams to have changed because the former drive
hde died, hdg became hde and a new drive was inserted as hdg.

What does the letters in [UU] stand for? I know when one drive
fails it shows [U_].
